What area do you cover?
We cover the whole of central Scotland.

What ages are your clients?
Our clients are aged from mid 20's to mid 60's.

How many clients do you have?
Always around 700. Not the millions that online sites claim but our clients are all current, all local and we aim for quality over quantity every time!

Are the numbers of men and women equal?
Although this is one of our biggest challenges, you'll be pleased to hear that our numbers balance perfectly.

Do you arrange social events?
No, Yours Sincerely specialises in one to one introductions and finding new partners for our clients. Singles events may have their place but in our experience it's extremely difficult to ensure a satisfactory ratio of men to women or that the age balance is correct.

What can you tell me about your clients?
That they're intelligent, articulate often high-achieving people, attractive in appearance and personality. They usually have busy lives and good friends, interesting conversation and several interests but finding that certain someone has proven elusive...

Why do people join Yours Sincerely?
Because they have reached a point in their lives where they know that they're ready for a committed relationship and we offer choice. We all tend to move within fairly small circles of friends, colleagues and acquaintances but through us you'll meet people you would never otherwise meet because your paths simply don't cross.
Is there still a stigma attached to joining a dating service?
No, thankfully that seems to have disappeared completely. Several million single people join UK agencies each year and it seems to have become just a normal part of our social fabric.

How successful is Yours Sincerely?
Our success rate is extremely high, at around 80%. When you consider that other forms of dating, such as online dating, text dating, speed or phone dating might struggle to achieve even 5%, you'll see just how good we are!

Must I attend an interview?
Yes, we interview every client either at their home or at our office. It's really important that we begin to establish a working relationship so that we know who you are and what you're looking for in a future partner.

How long does the interview last?
Usually about an hour and you'll find it a relaxed, enjoyable experience. We'll talk about your life to date and your hopes for the future, what you look for in another person and unless you have a photograph that you'd like us to use, we'll take a photograph for your profile.

What happens next?
We will compile your profile within a few days and e-mail it to you for your approval. You tell us if you'd like anything amended and after that, we're ready to go!

How do you handle the introductions?
Every time we have a suitable introduction for you, we will e-mail that person's profile to you and vice versa. It will contain their photograph and all of their details apart from their contact details. Just let us know whether you'd like to proceed and if so we will exchange telephone numbers.

How many introductions can I expect?
This is always difficult because until we meet you, we don't know how flexible you are but even the most demanding clients can expect at least two a month...

Can I refuse an introduction?
Absolutely. You need to be fairly sure that this is someone you'd like to meet or we'll just be wasting everyone’s time.

Is your service safe?
Because we meet, get to know and stay in touch with each client, in nearly 25 years no one has ever had a bad experience through our service.

Is the service confidential?
It is totally confidential. The only people who will know that you're a member are those that you're introduced to.

What is the AIIA?
Independent Association Introduction AgenciesThe UK dating industry is unlicensed and unregulated, although the Office of Fair Trading has produced a suggested Code of Practice to uphold standards. We are founder members of the Association of Independent Introduction Agencies, a voluntary organisation which adheres to the OFT guidelines in all respects.

Is that good value?
Because we meet and get to know each client, offer photographs of potential introductions, enjoy an enviable success rate and advertise extensively and continuously (local press, magazines, Yellow Pages, Yell.com, Google) we believe that we offer the very best value dating service in the region.
